Techniques

This article by Alec Soth got me wondering about techniques like using infrared with a red gel over the flash.

Are there any digital equivalents available to the average photographer?

I cannot find my IR filter anywhere. I fear it's gone out on loan to someone, I know not whom. Damnably, therefore, I am unable to test this at the moment, S2art.

Well that's the question I'm wondering myself Brenda. the look of those images by Weegee however may not be easily repeated by that technique as CCD have strangely different spectral responses that are different to film and in particular infrared film.

Do you mean this image Brenda?

What am I missing here St2? Can't you use an infrared filter and gel the flash on your DSLR?

And hmm, I'm posting about your lofo book today and cannot find where you posted that photo you took of my parcel. Not on Ipernity, not here, that I can find. Puzzled, me. :)
